Description/Job Summary

SUMMARY
 
The purpose of the Accounting Clerk is to perform daily, weekly and monthly accounting reports, prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts appointed by supervisor, calculates producer payments, enters cash deposits, enters accounts payable invoices, print checks and perform billing.
 
 
PRINCIPAL AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
 
1. Enters vendor invoices into the accounting software for payment and confirms invoices are properly approved.  Prints the checks for payment for submission to approved check signers.
 
2. Enters cash deposits into the accounting software.  Any short/long payments will need to be researched, communicated to the proper individuals and resolved.
 
3. Calculates producer settlement sheets, creates payments and submits to approved check signers.
 
4.  Enters, processes and prints invoices for customers.
 
 
5. Performs other office work as assigned by the supervisor.
 
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS REQUIRED:

Requires minimum of high school diploma; Associate's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; strong reading, communication, math, writing and analytical skills. 2-3 years of office administration, clerical and computer skills with a working knowledge of Excel, Word, and other office software required.
