Description/Job Summary

Niman Ranch, a national meat company with offices in Northglenn, Colorado, is looking for committed, energetic team player who supports family farming, sustainable agriculture and humanely raised meat, to join our marketing team. This individual will focus on supporting the brand marketing and creative department through a variety of marketing activities. This position will be the primary coordinator of the marketing and sales department.  

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Independently source/research vendors, maintain and order Point of Sale (POS), premiums and sales materials - including but not limited to: making purchasing decisions, monthly inventory, update online ordering system and provide regular updates on available items without oversight.
  • Assist in planning and executing all sales meetings and conferences.
  • Maintain sales and marketing budget including monthly reporting to brand and channel teams.
  • Coordinate distributor outreach activity from mailing contact lists to ship monthly marketing kits.
  • Write and distribute weekly brand marketing update.
  • Social Media: maintain brand social channels as directed (back-up).
  • Communications: support content creation for digital channels including blogs and consumer newsletter.
  • Support Marketing and Creative Leads; knowledge of PowerPoint is a must.
  • Maintain and organize all marketing electronic files.
  • Manage and maintain all product samples for product launches.
  • Communicates all promotion activity to/from the sales team. Collects promotion information and distributes to all affected departments. Tracks existing and future promotions. Post promotion analysis reported back to VP of Sales and Sr. Leadership team. 
  • Analyzes internal sales data for dissemination to the sales force. Also analyzes and cross references external data provided by customers for effective use by the sales team and shares with other departments (marketing, operations, sales administration)
  • Manages all requests for information from the sales team that involve other departments – operations, sales administration, marketing, finance.
  • Generates presentations materials for the sales team and certain Sr. Leadership teams
  • Manages all partner agreements, contracts. Keeps documents up to date, manages hard copies, e-files, calendar of expirations and sends out and receives.
  • Responsible for all sales meeting planning and execution including time-sharing coordination of company-wide functions.
  • Coordinates all sales team schedules.
  • Creates letters, memos, spreadsheets, PowerPoints for VP of Sales and other Sr. leadership team as needed.
  • Provide customer-specific reports and analysis, including weekly partner reviews, sales tracking by product, category or customer and monthly key account performance updates
  • Manages all requests for invoices from sales team to finance. Keeps an accurate record of submission, GL coding and payment.

Required Skills

  • Excellent computer skills, including intermediate knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to function in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment with a calm sense of urgency, patience and fortitude.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to edit the work of oneself and others.
  • Salesforce knowledge is a plus.
  • Must be able to apply objective, analytical and orderly thinking to the analysis of complex problems
  • Experience working with sales metrics including analyzing bookings, sales and trends
  • Ability to prepare results and clearly communicate findings in order to support fact-based decision-making
  • Position involves a strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced office setting
  • Experience working in a retail or wholesale company environment strongly preferred

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or associates degree in Marketing, Communications or related field; with equivalent relevant work experience is acceptable.
  • Ability for minimal travel (5-10%).
