The Company is seeking an organized, deadline oriented, self-starter to work in a fast paced poultry processing facility. Must be able to work in a warm and dirty environment with a variety of odors. Must possess good attention to detail. Individual will be
actively involved in the Company Safety Program and the long term and short term goals of the department. Ability to work as part of a team is essential. Attendance is an essential function of this job.
Hang live chickens for slaughter at the rate of 24 birds per minute. Process is:
Grasp chicken by the legs from conveyor belt.
Hang chicken by feet on shackles on a moving line.
Dispose of dead chickens according to procedures.
Wear required safety protection.
Work a full shift from a standing position.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Participate in Company and department safety program
Ability to carry out repetitive motions of the arms wrists and hands.
Comply with Company Policies and Procedures.
Education and/or Experience:
High school education not required but beneficial.
Previous experience using knives a plus, but not required.
Spanish/English bilingual a plus but not required. Reasoning Ability:
Ability to accurately carry out instructions given by supervisor is essential. Physical Demands:
Ability to regularly stand, walk, and repetitively use arms, wrists, and hands. Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs. on regular basis. Ability to reach above and below the shoulder level repetitively. Special information:
