The Live Receiving Manager position reports to the Live Production Manager. This position is located in the Sioux Center, IA harvest facility. This position has oversight of all shipping and forecasting duties for a specific region.
Primary Objectives and Specific Job Responsibilities:
Scheduling and Logistics: The Live Receiving Manager is responsible for all scheduling of deliveries with farmers, booking for transportation, interface with the harvest facility and any reporting associated with the deliveries.
Projections: The Live Receiving Manager is responsible for gathering projections from farmers in their region. This happens through direct contact with the farmers and weekly report updates from the Field Agents. Projections are used to complete the long
Receiving: Evaluate hogs coming into the plant for quality and make determinations on any hogs that need to be removed from the program. Work with Sioux Center receiving crew on any issues that may arise.
Requirements for Position:
Must possess a minimum of a Bachelors of Science in an applicable field of study OR have 5+ years of practical swine management experience.Combination of both is preferred.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs and have the ability to learn a web based database.Computer proficiency is absolutely required.
Must possess extremely skillful communication and organizational skills.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
Swine production experience, especially centered around farrow to finish, is preferred.
